If so, to what extent do Taiwanese politics polarized? Are we observing polarization among political elites or mass public? The purpose of this article is to explain are Taiwanese politics really divided into different parties, pan-blue versus pan-green, especially after 2000.Using the survey data from 1992 to 2008, to discuss the change of political attitude in Taiwan. To achieve this purpose, this research deals with four major parts. First, is show the political attitude of mass public for a long period, we can find that mass political attitude was really diffuse in before. After many years, general public hold identical views on political affairs, they have more magnanimity to accept other different opinions. Second, analysis the traditional variables influence in general public. The result was that the numerical statement always keeps a certain range. So we can not leap to a conclusion, Taiwanese politics has deep polarized. Maybe use the sentence “conflict extension” is more properly. Finally, we find besides traditional variables, other issues which economic develop and social welfare has drawn significant between Taiwanese. The implication is that Taiwan’s political competition will be more issues, the social stabilization develops gradually. In addition, we refer to” South Politics” in Taiwan.
