With a comprehensive analysis of the information gathered from interviews and field data, this study concludes that marriage migrants are closely bound to the social structure that defines them according to national identity and residency. TASAT’s role is to provide sisterhood assistance and support to solve marriage migrants' personal problems, and at the same time, to use these individual cases as a basis for policy advocacy. By doing so, TASAT links individual situations with the social structure and develops dialogues regarding migrants’ issues using a structural criticism approach. By providing various channels for and methods of participation, TASAT helps marriage migrants develop sensitivity to and awareness of the issues. TASAT begins its advocacy work by forming alliances and engaging in collective actions. By forming alliances and making use of creative strategies, TASAT devotes individual and organizational effort to promoting the rights of marriage migrants, and to breaking through the barriers to marriage migrants' participation in advocacy movements. Finally, the advocacy work not only leads to the changes in policies and laws, but also attracts more activists to join the movement. It also promotes positive social perspectives and generates positive energy among NGOs. none 李明政 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 133 zh-TW
