碩士 === 東吳大學 === 中國文學系 === 97 === Wu Wei Yei, the most renowned poet in early Ching Dynasty, had not only great effect on Chinese Literature development, but also written a lot of poems which were famous from generation to generation. With abounding passion and feeling, Wu Wei Yei revealed not only his disappointment about the politics of Ming Dynasty, but also the missing of homeland in his poetry when facing the chaos of the Dynastic succession from Ming to Ching Dynasty. By poetry, he announced the sorrow for people and the frustrations of his life at the same time. The contents that Wu Wei Yei concerned in his work were wide and touching, and most important of all, contemporary impressive and true stories which made readers move and learn a lesson from history were recorded in his poems. Due to the chaos of the social environment and the complexity of Wu Wei Yei’s personality, his poetry was in various styles. Therefore, Wu Wei Yei’s writing would be classified as three periods in this research in order to deeply realize the contents of his poetry and how his writing styles changed. The sections of thesis study are conducted as follows: The first chapter is the introduction, and it elaborates on the research motif and purpose, defines the scope of material, and conclude the formal relevant researches. In the second chapter, it mainly generalizes Wu Mei Tsun’s background, including the social contexts and the life experiences that contributed to his poetry. In the third chapter, it mainly discusses the related research questions of Wu Mei Tsun’s early poetry, including the evaluation and the definition of scopes. It also concludes Wu Mei Tsun’s writing characteristics in early works. In the fourth chapter, it explores the contents of Wu Mei Tsun’s poetry when Wu Mei Tsun suffered from the end of Ming to the serve the Ching Dynasty. Serving the Ching Dynasty is critical in Wu Mei Tsun’s life because he never stopped feeling sorrow and regretting. It also effected on the methods Wu Mei Tsun presented in his poems. According to the Mei Tsun’s manuscripts, it separated the poetry into pre-poetry and post-poetry by the time Wu Mei Tsun’s serving Ching. Therefore, it would be taken into this thesis as the separation of Wu Mei Tsun’ poetry. In fifth chapter, it explores the poems that Wu Mei Tsun wrote from serving Ching to his last life, and presents the writing characteristics in his last works. In sixth chapter, it makes a brief summary of the thesis.
