Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 應用化學研究所 === 97 === The pharmaceuticals that used in this experimentation including flavor esters, flavor alcohols and ethanol, are also essential substances in our daily life. The fragrant esters are often applied in the soap manufacturing, the lotion, the indoor aromatic, essence mixes, and so on. Moreover, benzyl alcohol has the functions of antibacterial and preservation from decay. Since its risk of low skin sensibility, it often be used in the spice, the liquor, the oral cavity sanitizing, and so on. Among those pharmaceuticals, the application of ethanol is the most widespread.
In this work, we obtained reliable density, viscosity, refractive index, and surface tension under the atmospheric pressure at the temperature range from 293.15 K to 323.15 K for the binary mixtures over the extensive composition range, and the ternary mixture at the temperature 303.15 K.
In the treatment of experimental data, excess molar volumes (VE), deviations in the viscosity (Δη), deviations in the surface tension (Δσ ), and deviations in the refractive index (ΔnD) for the mixtures were derived from experimental data. The binary data of (VE), (Δη), (Δσ) and (ΔnD) were correlated as a function of the mole fraction by using the Redlich-Kister equation. The ternary data were correlated with the Jasiński-Malanowski, Cibulka, Singh, Pintos, Calvo, Mascato equations. The ternary data were also predicted by using Redlich-Kister equation, Scatchard equation, Tsao-Smith equation, Toop equation, Kohler equation, Colinet equation, Jacob-Fitzner equation. The obtained results are close to the experimental data.
