碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 青少年兒童福利研究所 === 97 === Action Research of Children''s Life Adjustment with Divorced Parents Abstract Due to the drastic increase of children with divorced parents, this study intends to find out the life adjustment of three elementary school students with a divorced single parent. Action research method is used in this study. After repeated reflection, modification, and re-action, the researcher intends to investigate ways to improve the life adjustment of children with divorced parents. Eight conclusions can be drawn from the study: 1. The degree of life adjustment for children with divorced parent is strongly related to the divorced parent. 2. The sincere attitude of the caregivers can facilitate life adjustment for children with a divorced parent. 3. One of the causes of misbehaviors by children with divorced parent is to gain attention. 4. Positive attitude of the teachers is beneficial to life adjustment for children with a divorced parent. 5. The closer relationship between teachers and children with divorced parent, the easier life adjustment can be achieved. 6. Friendly support and deep concern from peers are beneficial to life adjustment for children with a divorced parent. 7. Discovering and inspiring the strengths of children with a divorced parent can improve their life adjustment. 8. The more support networks for children with a divorced parent, the easier for them to adjust to life. Reflections from the researcher 1. Educational workers should take children''s interest as consideration and establish friendly alliance with the children''s parents. 2. Related social welfare organizations should set up campus for social workers to integrate various resources, establish family , counseling system, transform passive Welfare policy to positive assistance, compile examples of model practice strategy for reference, and conduct a long term follow-up based on the research results.
