Thus, the growing awareness of providing a barrier free environment, which people can easy access to public facility, has been taken hold by our society. Although the Taiwan government and societies has been promoting to build a barrier-free environment for many years, a few public facilities did improve the accessibility at recent years, yet, there are still a large portion of institutions have not responded to the advocate of it, and they are among people’s daily life, especially at the banking. Banking service has played a crucial role in people’s daily life. Many people go to bank frequently; however, high steps and uneven floor showing arrogant of banks, ignoring the mobility of disable people. To provide a barrier free environment, which disabled people can easily access and be served should be the first priority of government policy. In addition, the barrier free facility should not be only the goal for legal inspection. It should be much thoughtful and consideration on facilities designing, then it can truly serve its purpose. The research is focus on barrier free facility at Chinatrust bank branches locating at Tainan County, and polled from disabled people. After studying and analyzing the static data, the result may be a useful reference to banking or other industries to improve barrier free environment. Awareness is growing that society is also penalized when disabled persons are prevented by an unfriendly environment from realizing their full potential. Societies incur hidden costs when their members, including those with disabilities, suffer from stress, fatigue and accidents. Thus arose a campaign to remove physical obstacles in the environm.
