Summary: | 碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 機械與機電工程研究所 === 97 === The study uses some significant parameters like engine operating point, generator operating condition, cruising speed, and acceleration reduction ratio and bases on different driving cycles to simulate the performance of the a new hybrid electric motorcycle, and to analyze its optimal fuel consumption efficiency. The hybrid system is of a double-axle parallel type. It can also be classified as the heavy hybrid system. Basically, it is powered by electric motor when driving at low speed, and driven by an engine by the aid of an electric motor when driving at high speed. The electric motor can also generate electricity to recharge the battery when necessary.
The result indicates that the new hybrid electric motorcycle has better efficiency when driving in an urban area than a suburban area. Besides, the research of the parameters under different generator operating modes points out that the constant-voltage charging mode not only yields longer life and better charge-discharge efficiency but also gives relatively positive effect to the hybrid system compared with the constant-current charging mode. The variation of acceleration and velocity under different driving modes is also a critical factor. The result shows that this hybrid electric motorcycle suits to drive at highest possible acceleration and lower cruising speed. Driving at high speed for a long period may lower the driving efficiency.
