Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 高階經營管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 97 === The primary purpose of this thesis is to establish an appropriate protection system of ESD for LCM plants and to organize the implementation and management of ESD protection mechanism in the work field. The thesis starts with the theorem of ESD generation. Based on the understanding of the mechanical structure of LCD display, grounding of the plant, selection of floor material, and construction are first things to be done, and temperature, humidity, and particle that could be influenced by environment should also be controlled to build a complete ESD protection zone. Afterwards, by the appropriate application of various sorts of ESD protection tools, such as ESD eliminators and ESD strip, products could be protected against ESD thoroughly. Finally, through the case study of C Company, a comprehensive ESD protection system is concluded. The conclusions are: (1) Even if temperature, humidity, and grounding are controlled as well as possible, ESD is still generated at certain working stations, and it will be a catastrophe for production line if ESD protection is not well implemented. (2) It is common at assembly station that the uncovered metal objects of the semi-finished goods can be contacted by some other metal objects and results in ESD circuit or EOS. This is definitely main point to be paid attention to for assembly operators.
