In order to meet the needs of tourists and to improve the residents’ willingness to participate in leisure agriculture, it’s important for communities in the development of leisure agriculture to integrate local culture and residents to promote community cohesion. Therefore, this research explores the relationship between the residents’ place attachment, perception of tourism impacts, leisure agriculture developing attitude, entrepreneurship, and participation intention. The research utilized the survey questionnaire approach and sampled 450 Dongshan Township, Yilan County, residents from 24 villages who are over 18 years old by proportionate random sampling method in January and February, 2009. The valid returns were 436, and the valid return rate was 97.8%. In the study, the statistical included Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, descriptive analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, Structural Equation Modeling, and Multiple Regression Analysis for data analysis. The major findings of this study reveal that there exit significant differences in terms of socioeconomic background of Dongshan Township include residents’ place attachment, perception of tourism impacts, developing leisure agriculture attitude and willingness to participate in leisure agriculture. This means that agriculture-related industries engaged in leisure and leisure living in the area of agriculture is superior to non-residents engaged in leisure agriculture-related industries and non-resident leisure agriculture area residents. Futhermore, Dongshan Township residents’ developing leisure agriculture attitude and entrepreneurship plays a role in predicting willingness to engage in leisure agriculture-related industries. And the results showed that the willingness to Dongshan Township’s leisure agriculture of tourism act as a mediator between the relationship of developing leisure agriculture attitude and willingness to engage in leisure agriculture-related industries. Suggestions were provided for local governments, the enviroment attitude organization, and industries’ people who have interests in participating in leisure agriculture-related and future researcher.
