Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 97 === Based on the type of social clubs one had participated in the university, the aim of this research is to discuss the impacts on a graduate for the future career development. The discussions include participation of activities experiences, personal relations and interactions, as well as the roles and obstructions that may be encountered at different stages. Furthermore, the discussion will look at the impacts of the graduate’s transformation and growth in detail and how it influences the career development.
This research adopted a qualitative technique which involves collecting information through a semi-structured and profound interviews. Nine suitable participants were invited to join the research and throughout the interview, there were multiple confirmations to reveal the influences between the participated social clubs and their current career. According to the findings, the collected aspects of experiences in social clubs showed;
1.Interest are imperative when it comes to choose the right social club and participate the activities.
2.The activities may bring positive growth or negative influences to an individual.
3.Throughout the participation in the club, an individual undergoes different experiences in different roles.
4.When an obstruction was encountered, all put in the effort to overcome the problem.
5.Every different role has different interactive relations.
The collected aspects of individual transformation and growth showed;
1.The participation of clubs can extend, in terms of level, the interpersonal relationship.
2.Management of a club and holding activities can discipline an individual’s ability to handle matters.
3.Interpersonal interactions help the ability to communicate.
4.A leadership in the club helps the traineeship for the career management.
5.Club participation helps with expression of willingness.
6.Club participation helps the development of leisure activities and interests.
7.Participate in clubs can create transformation in disposition.
The influences in career development showed;
1.Majority of people think the social club is rather irrelevant to career development and persona transformation.
2.Club activity experiences promote better performances in the future workplace.
3.Interests and hobbies that were developed in the club are carried on to lifestyles in the future.
Consequently, based on the outcome of this research, and the other aim of this research was to provide specific suggestions to students who are currently involved in social clubs, administrative unit of clubs and future researches.
