Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 97 === This work studies the maximum equivalent stress on the component and the allowable amount of interference for an interference fit based on the maximum distortion energy theory. The experimental data obtained from torsion tests is compared with theoretic values derived from thick wall cylinder theory and the relationship is established by a non-linear equation. In order to analyze the variations on loading capacity due to different geometric parameters, a fractional factorial experiment is designed for testing the components of interference fits in which cylindricity and surface roughness are defined as control factors. From the analysis of variance, it was predicted that the hub with a larger amount of cylindricity and a smaller value of surface roughness would be able to carry a heavier torsion load. A verification experiment is conducted and the result agrees with the prediction.
