Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 97 === In this paper stress analysis techniques by using Photoelastic experiment method are discussed. The main purpose of this paper is to develop a method for analyzing intrinsic stress and residual stress of the transparent material, especially for solving the fringe pattern with few fringes. By associating digital image process method, Photoelastic analysis can be employed on non-sensitive material like glasses. The relationship between stress and phase is established, and is confirmed by a four-point bending experiment. The material fringe constant of glass is determined accordingly. At a point of the loaded model, the difference of principal stress must be the same regardless the different wavelength of light source. By using two different wavelengths of light sources, a circular Polariscope, and digital image process method one can determine the isochromatic fringe orders of a stressed model as well as of a residual-stress model. The techniques are verified by comparing the experimental result and the analytical solution. The material fringe constant of the residual-stress model is determined accordingly. Finally, the stress distribution of the residual stressed model is revealed.
