Firstly, the correlative information and parameters of small hydro-power generation systems as well as distribution systems were collected. Next, the commercial power system analysis software, ETAP PowerStation, and Matlab/Simulink were used to simulate and analyze the steady-state and dynamic performance of the system. Finally, the system impacts as well as the maximum interconnected capacities of the small hydro-power generation system were evaluated against the simulation outcomes. The results of this study contribute to the distribution engineers and correlative industries, further realizing the influence and impact on the interconnection of small hydro-power plants and distribution systems.
