Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 97 === This thesis focuses on the relatively complicated power transfer problems resulting from the difficulties in building up power system equipment in population centre in Taiwan . A Power System Simulator for Engineering (PSS/E) software package is employed to simulate and analyze for designing a Special Protection System (SPS) with the functions of remotely controlling and tripping the gas turbine units of DaTan Power Plant by using Synchronized Phasor Measurements to determine if the system is separate (transmission line trip) to resolve the bottleneck problem of power supply.
The power grid configurations and data used in this thesis are based on the peak load profile in year 2009. The first step is to perform analysis for fault current and power flow as the basis for stability analysis. Case studies are conducted to determine how many gas turbine units and closure of CB in DaTan Power Plant are needed at different power capacity status to be tripped to keep the system stable when encountering transit instability and overload of 161kV transmission line resulting from the outage accident of DaTan∼(ZhuGong) ∼LongTan 345kV (red and white) transmission line. Finally, the analysis results could be used as valuale references for Taipower to build up SPS for a specific geographic district. Once the SPS has been properly constructed, it can be used to resolve problems concerning overload of transmission line and transformer and transit instability incurred from circuit accidents.
