The record work usually do by someone, accordingly, the purpose of this thesis is to implement an intelligent teaching communication system to replace the record work. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) has many benefits such as high performance, small size and standalone, for this reason, we use the TI’s TMS320DM642 DSP module as our research developing platform, and the camera which has the pan, tilt and zoom functions named PTZ camera, we can use the pan and tilt function to make the speaker stay in the frame and the zoom function to enlarge the frame. At first, we use the background subtraction to extract the target image from input image. Secondly, estimate the skeleton of the upper half body from the binary image of the target, and than use the vector quantization to analysis the target’s posture. Thirdly, send the appropriate commands to PTZ camera according to the target’s position and posture information.
