碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 97 === The legitimatization of gaming industry in Taiwan has caused a large scale of discussion. For the issue that Taiwan set up a casino or not, some people hold an optimistic attitude, that can give an impetus to regional economic; it was also concerned about the social impact it brings, such as the crime rate increased, the distortion of social values and issues of young people. Based on this, this study attempted to organize the literature related to reports and case studies to Macao for the object, to understand the settings for casino impact of the community. Also, we summarize the suggestions of the control and prevention measures offered by the experts and scholars in the fields. The results of our research show that the substitution effect, inflation rate and the low quality of human resources and so on, is indeed open a casino in Macau after the more obvious; On the other hand, the suicide rate has downward trend. With the setting of a casino for the social costs, experts and scholars made a number of recommendations to reduce the cost of various types and we divide them into four categories- "education and propaganda," "laws and norms", " assistances and treatments" and "other suggestions". Finally, for all of the recommendations, the study also from the "education and propaganda," "laws and norms" and "assistances and treatments" three aspects, we suggest 12 points in order to provide the future development of Taiwan's casinos reference.
