Rapid innovation in firm is a function of design and structure, which has cultural impact to build ideas. Working environment is valuable, but without an adequate culture, a business will be limited in its growth. The reason is environment is changing and it can’t be same with the time, but culture remains same for longer time and can be inherited to upcoming challenges. To prove my argument, thesis proposed six successful key factors for innovation culture. These success factors are judged through case methodology. The first part is comparative study of success factors with Global companies’ successful cases. The later part covers a deep comparative study with 3M Taiwan. The key success factors proposed from previous researchers are important artifact for developing a culture that can sustain a rapid innovation system in the firm. 3M’s culture is its strongest asset and its biggest challenge. Its innovation system with a wide diversity of businesses, geography, and technologies are displaying success factors. It emphasizes the organizational and institutional structures in such a way that it will develop a culture for the rate and direction of innovation processes. It is a lesson for local companies to understand the importance of rapid innovation culture.
