Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 工藝設計學系碩士班 === 97 === Abstract
By using the expression form of metal art to interpret the creations of “an unformed motive”, the first chapter elaborates on the life experience that drives the author to explore why people change their hearts constantly.
The emergence of emotional design illustrates that, other than convenience in life, people nowadays also put stress on soul demands. In terms of the demand for convenience, there are many ways that we can come up with issues for discussion, for instance, quantitative calculation, questionnaire survey and ergonomics, etc. However, what about our hearts? For chapter 2, the author tries to give cross comparison on how different philosophers and psychologists interpret our souls and consciousness, and make out a graph of abstractive consciousness with similarities as the theory basis of creations.
Chapter 3 induces humans’ consciousness into three parts, namely cognition, affection and reason, whereas human’s emotional requirements come in ascription, desire and personality respectively from inner part to outer part, in which creations are given according to three topics, namely “Personality Cell Phone”, “Lost Direction” and “Noir Rescue” in an attempt to catch human’s emotion. Chapter 4 explains how metal art technique is applied to creations, and what its difference from other metalworking technique is, what its features are, and why and how it overcomes the difficulty in creations. Finally, chapter 5 gives conclusion and outlook. It mentions that people is likely to associate metal art with personal trimmings. Given the fact that metal related products around our everyday living are varied, metal crafts can also combine the products in other sectors, which is trial given for the work of “personality cell phone”. Our hearts are sophisticated and fickle, and often conflict with our rational minds. However, it is not totally incomprehensible. It is hoped that the emotional issue will be continued to be pursued to an extent as precise as the products using function as the major approach.
