The first chapter is the introduction about the motivation, the scope and the methods of the research. The second chapter studies the source, the development and the evolution of symphonies; furthermore, it studies the characteristics about Beethoven’s nine symphonies. Then, it focuses on the Symphony No.5, which implies the backgrounds, the skills and the characteristics of the composing. The third chapter is the analysis about the composing, a more detailed study on the musical form, the tonality and the tactics used. The fourth chapter is the command interpretation by the author, which introduces the intensity, the rhythm and the changes in speed. Finally, the last chapter is the conclusion, illustrating the author’s own opinions.
