Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊管理學研究所 === 97 === The purpose of this research is to concern how internet companies in Taiwan support the social networking platform. Based on co-opetition theory, we can understand the relationship between the participants of the social network service. And through the case analysis, we illustrate the current situation of internet companies that already support the social networking platform, and give some advices to the companies which currently haven’t support any platform.
We find that the companies supporting the platform are very rare in Taiwan recently. Because of some reasons, for example, the market is not mature in Taiwan yet, the technical document is messy and the lack of third-party application developers, these internet companies are still searching for a good way to let users accept the new service. Besides, they have to develop the applications by themselves.
In this thesis, we also address three major factors which should be considered when the companies choose which platform to support, including "the degree of information openness", "the ease of technology implementation" and "corporate strategy, justice and resources".
