Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 中國文學研究所 === 97 === The major concern of this article is how we translate something foreign or unknown into a matter understandable by known knowledge. As more and more Chu Slips, the existence of which became known only very recently, been excavated, and more scholars with their immense knowledge of ancient Chinese dedicated themselves into the interpretation of those invaluable ancient documents, there have been some reached consensus of the ideas while many other translations still incurred diverse opinions. This thesis would stand on the shoulders of these researchers as it tries to explore some of the much discussed issues among two texts in The Chu Slips of Shanghai Museum, volume V. Aside from the meanings of the texts, the underlying methodology and logic of previous researches would also be contemplated to build the possible ground for further discourses.
