Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺中技術學院 === 多媒體設計系碩士班 === 97 === Recently, it is a new fashion that audiences’ body movements have been integrated into the interactive digital art. These interactive art systems can simultaneously perform virtual and real scenes indifferent time spaces. in order to integrate audiences’ body movements into pre-set animations by cameras and computer servers, these core models for image processing, object locating and combining are the required functions of the system. Furthermore, it would be very time-consuming when interactive art creators use high-end computers to remove backgrounds from audiences and combine their body movements with new backgrounds in real-time. Besides, the flexibilities of these software and hardware are not convenient enough to meet the needs of being quickly assembled in exhibitions of interactive digital art. From the above discussion of the relevant works of interactive digital art, this study implemented a set of simple and economical models -- Image Integration and Development Module(IIDM), which are based on a motion detection system with webcam and algorisms for background detecting, removing, object locating and combining. IIDM had been adopted by a work of interactive digital art called “Ramble in Bianliang City (the capital of Northern Song Dynasty)” from “Purple Breeze Comes from the East” series in Interactive Art Exhibition hosted by Cultural Affair Bureau of Taichung City, Taiwan. In “Ramble in Bianliang City”, after removing the background of one audience’ image which captured by webcam, this system combined this audience’s image of body movements with a famous Chinese picture -- “Along the River During the Ch''ing-ming Festival” in real-time, so that the audience looked and felt like rambling along the river. IIDM also solved the problem of the collisions between webcam-captured objects and virtual objects in the scenes of animations and the problem of different axial movements. Based on above practical application, IIDM proved that it could be adopted as a core technology for interactive art creator to reduce the technical obstacles for implement. Therefore, better creativities could be supported well with IIDM.
