碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 財政學系 === 97 === In existing literature, never has a rent-seeking analysis been conducted with the premise that the public policy and the political influence of rent-seekers (rent-seeking groups) is endogenously determined while there are both preference and ability heterogeneity among the rent-seekers. This research will base on the rent-seeking analysis structure proposed by Cheikbossian (2008), in which the public policy level and the political influence of rent-seekers is endogenously determined. Building on the setting that a heterogeneity of preference and rent-seeking ability exists among rent-seekers, this research aims to establish a rent-seeking model to provide an impact analysis of the influence of rent-seekers’ preference and ability heterogeneity on rent-seeking activities when the public policy is endogenously determined.
