Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育傳播與科技研究所 === 97 === This report focuses on the suggestion of campus media planning from the aspect of Media Literacy. It uses Taipei JK elementary school as an example to discuss(1) the role of media (2) the development of Media Literacy (3) the key issues of campus media operation in order to provide an sample for others who are willing to establish campus media in elementary school.
This research uses focus group interview, in which sixteen senior students in JK elementary school are interviewed, to understanding their viewpoints of campus media. Firstly, the author developed a questionnaire, which directed discussion around the relationship between campus media and media literacy, and interviewed with 33 teachers and then analyzed results by quantitative statistics. Secondly, she conducted an in-depth interview with three specialists to obtain qualitative outcomes:
1.Student activities and presentations’ is the most important functoin of campus media for teachers and students because it can provide interaction in both vertical and horisotal perspectives.
2.The advantages of vedio and audio in campus media should mainly develop on teaching demands.
3.Students can experience media representation and understand the meaning of media message through campus TV, but the authorization should be limited within the educational purposes.
4.In the circumstance of the simulation of the reality, students can experience media literacy by producing the contents of media message. Further, we should aware not to violate intellectual property rights.
5.It is not easy for students to recognize the rights of public communication, such as refuseing interview, copyright, and correction, because campus media is running under positive educational purposes.
6.The wills and the increasment of specific skills of teacher are the top of the agenda in establishing campus media.
7.Sufficient facilities and financial and administrative support are important factors for long-term operation.
Accordingly, this dissertation provides some suggestions for those who are going to setup their campus media and for further research as well.
