Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育政策與管理研究所 === 97 === Abstract The objective of this research is to study the difference of the examination results of Chinese language between the children of foreign spouses, the aborigine students and the Han Chinese students of the elementary school third grade in Yilan County. To achieve this objective, the researchers used the samples form the administrative database of the elementary schools in Yilan, which were based on genders and living areas of the three types of students mentioned above. The examination results of listening comprehension, reading and writing of the “2007 Chinese Language Test Questions of Basic Competency for Third-Grade Elementary School Students in Yilan County” of the third-grade elementary school students were input into the 2007 Chinese language basic competency test database of Yilan County government and the 2007 Chinese examination results of all the third-graders were obtained through the basic data of the students. This research uses SPSS random sampling for the third-grade elementary school students in Yilan County. The obtained data is analyzed via statistics such as description statistic, T-test and F value. The research results are as follows: 1.The performance of both the children of foreign spouses and Han Chinese students in the Chinese language basic competency tests was better than the aborigine students. 2.The performance of both the children of foreign spouses and Han Chinese students in the Chinese language basic competency tests for listening comprehension and writing was better than the aborigine students. 3.No significant difference was found between male and female students for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests 4.Students in urban areas performed better than the students in rural or mountainous areas in the Chinese language basic competency tests. 5.Students in urban areas performed better than the students in rural or mountainous areas for listening comprehension, reading and writing in the Chinese language basic competency tests. 6.For the Han Chinese students, no significant difference was found between male and female students for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests. 7.For the Han Chinese students, those in urban areas performed better than those in rural or mountainous areas in the Chinese language basic competency tests. 8.No significant difference was found between male and female aborigine students for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests. 9.No significant difference was found between aborigine students in the rural and mountainous areas for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests. 10.No significant difference was found between male and female children of foreign spouses for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests. 11.No significant difference was found between the children of foreign spouses in the urban and rural areas for the results of the Chinese language basic competency tests. Suggestions were given to education authorities, schools, teachers and parents and for future studies based on the conclusions of this study.
