The background of these students is special and their life adjustment requires more attention. According to the purpose of this research, a questionnaire of life adjustment of immigrant brides’ and native children in Penghu County was constructed as a research tool. In this research, immigrant brides’ children of grade four to six were stratified random sampling and 275 completed questionnaires were returned; while native children of grade four to six were sampled and 279 completed questionnaires were returned, both were 554 completed questionnaires. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Chi-Square Test, two-way ANOVA and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The survey results are as follows. 1.The expectation of self and parents with regard to education of native and immigrant brides’ children were high. Moreover, the parental occupation was an labor without any unique skill, and the parental educational level tend to be lower, as well as the extracurricular readings at home and the situation of children was doing homework with their parents company tend to be bad. 2.The native children, who live in self expectations of educational level, parental occupation and educational level, the network resources and the amount of extracurricular readings at home, the hours of parents accompany children doing the homework and the frequency of travel in Taiwan, were superior to those of immigrant bride’s children, however the structure of family had no difference. 3.The immigrant brides’ children in their life, individual, and school adjustment were good, and they are excellent on family and interpersonal adjustment. However, the native children had well individual adaption, significant overall life, school, family, and interpersonal adjustment. In addition to life adjustment, the native children were superior to new immigrant brides’. 4.The family of native children expect for the degree of high school had better than immigrant bride’s children does. 5.Both native daughter and immigrant bride’s daughters in their family, school, interpersonal, and life adjustment were superior to their sons. In the meantime, fourth grade children had significantly better family adjustment than sixth grade children did; the other sides were no remarkable differences. 6.The native and immigrant brides’ children with higher parental expectations of educational level all had better life adjustment than those with lower parental expectations of educational level. 7.The completed structure of native and immigrant brides’ children had better school and the entirety of life adjustment than those only living with their father; meanwhile, children doing homework with parents’ company had better family adjustment than those without their parents accompany, nevertheless, the other side was no significantly difference. 8.Compare with native and immigrant bride’s children, who live in different school districts, parental occupation and educational level, the network resources, the amount of extracurricular readings at home, and the frequency of visit Taiwan, were all not reaching the remarkable differences in life adjustment. 9.Findings from SEM analysis in the relationship between the immigrant bride’s children and natives’ life adjustment supported that there was a significantly positive relationship among each and every dimension of life adjustment of native and immigrant brides’ children.
