Furthermore, the researcher attempted to discuss whether the teachers’ innovation teaching capability and teaching effectiveness were affected by the teachers’ demographic variables. In the end, the researcher tried to verify these factors for prediction. The method adopted in this research was conducted through questionnaire. The samples were 503 teachers selected from 41 elementary and 15 junior high schools in Penghu County. The researcher analyzed the survey data by various statistical methods, such as t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé method, Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. These conclusions were summarized as follows: 1.The current situation of elementary and junior high school teachers’ innovative teaching capability and teaching effectiveness in Penghu County were good. 2.Elementary school teachers’ scores on the general performance of innovative teaching capability were higher than those of junior high school teachers’. 3.When it comes to the general performance of innovative teaching capability of junior high school teachers, there were no significant differences in gender, seniority, positions, education level, professional background and school region in Penghu County. 4.When it comes to the general performance of innovative teaching capability of elementary school teachers, there were no significant differences in gender, seniority, positions, education level, professional background and school region in Penghu County. 5.There were no differences in the general performance of teaching effectiveness of elementary and junior high school teachers in Penghu County. Furthermore, elementary school teachers’ scores on self-efficacy beliefs were higher than those of junior high school teachers’. 6.There was modest positive correlation between teachers’ innovative teaching capability and teaching effectiveness for junior high and elementary schools in Penghu County. 7.For each aspect of the teachers’ innovative teaching capability in elementary and junior high schools in Penghu County, it was the innovative capability of belief, teaching strategy and multiple assistant that had high prediction in the general teaching effectiveness. In the end, this search provided concrete advices for the reference of the educational authorities, teachers and follow-up researchers.
