Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the elementary school students’ satisfaction about current implementation of friendliness campus in Taichung County and analyze the differences of students’ satisfaction with various backgrounds. A questionnaire survey is used in this study. There are 976 fifth and sixth graders of 164 public elementary schools selected to answer the questionnaire. The findings are as follows:
1. The satisfaction as a whole about current implementation of friendliness campus in Taichung County is above average.
2. The satisfaction of dimension “learning care” is the highest; however, that of “teaching-counseling mechanism” is the lowest.
3. There is no significant difference in the satisfaction of students with different gender, father’s educational backgrounds or mother’s educational backgrounds.
4. The difference in the satisfaction of students with different grades, the locations of schools and the scales of schools is significant.
Based upon the conclusions of the research, some suggestions are provided for reference to the educational administration institutions, elementary school authorities and follow-up researchers.
