By the viewpoint of cognitive load and its correlation empirical study, This research discussed the relevance between them which influence on mathematics problem solving activity performance. This research took the experimental subject by some 90 sixth grade students in the same elementary school in Taibei City. We divided the students into 3 groups as the high cognitive load, the low cognitive load and the germane cognitive load under two experiment situations to nderstand the anxious situation and the cognitive load state influence of regarding the problem solving activity. The experimental result was as follows:(1) The mathematics problem solving examination performance in the low anxious situation was better than that in the hight anxious situation. (2) The mathematics problem solving examination performance was no significant difference between the low cognitive load group and in the high cognitive load group. (3) In the low anxious situation, the mathematics problem solving examination performance in the germane cognitive load group was significant better than that in the high cognitive load group. (4) The mathematics problem solving examination performance was no significant difference between the low cognitive load group and in the germane cognitive load group. (5) The mathematics problem solving examination performance was no significant correlation influence between the anxious situation and the cognitive load. (6) The difference of the type of the cognitive load had influence on the anxious level of the students. (7) The high cognitive load group had the highest cognitive load in different anxious situation.
