Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 數學暨資訊教育學系(含數學教育碩士班) === 97 === Since 1946, primary school mathematics curriculum in Taiwan has gone through revise many times. Every time, it lead to some controversy more or less. For instance, the introduction of New Math from US in 1968 was a typical case, and the imbedding of Construtivest view as its philosophical base in 1993 was another case. Mistakes made and repeated many times, and lessons were not learned. As time goes by, persons who took part in the curriculum revising passed away gradually, and the why and how of those revising followed. If we are to record those details for the history, it is about time. This paper is part of this effort, an documentation of oral history of Men-Fon Huang (黃敏晃), chairman of primary school mathematics curriculum development committee from 1974 to 1997. Together with interviews of another key person Marie Chou (周筱亭), who played the administrative support for the committee. This documentation is part of the history of Taiwan’s primary school mathematics education. It is hoped that it should play exemplar role for the future curriculum revise.
