碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 資訊科學系碩士班 === 97 === Abstract On weekend, some people prefer going outdoors activities. They use the Global Positioning System (GPS) to guide them to the destination. Others prefer the indoor activities, such as going to museums, galleries and exhibitions. With the high income and the multicultural education, people now do want the clear guide service that could enrich them. Most museums, galleries and other exhibitions have focused on guide services in order to enhance their service quality. For the sake of an automatic mobile guide system, the primary purpose in this thesis is to make the indoor location system more useful. As a result of it, we combine handheld devices with indoor location system in the wireless sensor network environment. In this thesis, we use the Cricket indoor location system, a kind of wireless sensor network, to achieve the purpose of indoor positioning. Afterward we combine the embedded system ARM with the Cricket indoor location system in order to get user’s position for the function of multi-media guide service.
