In addition, the advantages and disadvantages and choices of mate selection strategies were explored in detail. Based on the rational choice of self-interest maximizing in economics, a new type of computer-assisted marriage matching model was established in the study. The model adopted the pattern of men-to-women, many-to-many reciprocal selections with the addition of the concept of time-space alteration. The multiple rounds of matching represented continuous search in mate selection. In the process of matching, men and women were classified into different groups by resources of mate selection, the predestined relationships among them were simulated based on random numbers and these generated random numbers were used for the two models of mate selection strategies of open relationships and two-timing. Then, success rates of matching and mates’ qualities were calculated. The study results were as follows. 1. The more resources of mate selection one had, the more advantageous his/her mate selection was. On the contrary, the fewer resources of mate selection one had, the less advantageous his/her mate selection was. 2. It was favorable for both men and women to select mates with the strategy of open relationships instead of the strategy of two-timing. 3. By applying successive searches, male and female mates with the most-favored qualities resulted in better quality matching, while the rest resulted in worse quality matching. 張榮富 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW |
