To acquire the real-time traffic information, ITS uses the wireless communication techniques. This thesis estimate the vehicle information by using the channel awareness techniques. With this technique, the positions, velocities and type of the vehicles can be identified. In the inter-vehicle communication, we propose a 3-Ray model to calculate the diffraction loss due to the shadowing of vehicles and surrounding . Finally, a linear equally spaced array(LES) with Multiple Signal Classification(MUSIC) method is used to predict the location of the vehicle.
