The study consisted of 901 effective subjects who were selected by using random sampling method from fifteen public junior high schools in Hsinchu City during the first semester of 2008. A questionnaire, designed by the author of the study, was used to gather data in October,2008. T-test, One-way ANOVA, Multiple regression analysis were adopted to analyze the data. The major findings of the study are listed as follows: 1.The average score of the knowledge about western fast food which the junior high school students got was 68.33.However,the girl students got higher scores than the boys did when it came to the term of the nutrition knowledge about fast-food. 2.The average score of the attitude toward western fast food which the junior high school students got was 35.09. Yet, the girls obtained higher scores than the boys did. 3.The subjects’self-efficacy on refusal to fast-food was strong. The 8th graders had higher self-efficacy than the 9th graders did. 4.The most common behaviors of eating fast-food were“finishing all the food each time”, “purchasing at fast-food restaurants”, and “buying at street stands”.Nearly 20 percent of the junior high school students ate western fast food. The situation implied that boys ate more fast food than girls did. The data also indicated that the 9th graders received higher scores than the 7th and the 8th graders did. 5.The variance of fast food eating behaviors could be explained by weekly allowance, the nutrition knowledge about fast-food eating, the western fast-food eating attitude, and refusal to fast-food eating self-efficacy up to 27.3%.The most important factors which affected fast-foods eating behaviors were weekly allowance and self-efficacy of refusing fast-food. Based on these results, this study suggests that schools could assist the students to gain the knowledge about western fast-food nutrition which the students are lack of, to establish the correct attitude toward eating, to strengthen the self-efficacy of refusal to fast-food, and to reform the consuming ways of their allowance. For a more intensive and extensive study, the research areas could be expanded to different cities, counties or towns , and the research subjects could also be broadened to different ages of students. 鄭惠美 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 101 zh-TW
