Primary school teachers in Taipei City are randomly selected to fill out questionnaires and 733 copies of valid samples are thus used for this study. The levels of fatigue and exercise behaviors are evaluated using the Chinese version of Checklist Individual Strength Questionnaire (CIS) and Exercise Behavior Questionnaire (which includes frequency, intensity, duration, and sense of joy of exercising). Based on the previous standard, CIS>76 is classified as the fatigue group, CIS≦76 as the non-fatigue group. 94 female teachers (36 of fatigue group and 58 of non-fatigue group, with the average age of 42.07±6.74) are asked to carry out the six-minute walk test in order to evaluate their cardiopulmonary fitness. The collected data is then analysed with descriptive statistics, independent-samples test, one-way ANOVA, Tukey’s Honestly Significant Difference, and Pearson’s Correlation using the SPSS14.0 software. The results of this study are as follow: 1.30.2% of the primary school teachers suffer from fatigue potentially. The level of fatigue is affected by factors such as age, number of children, years of service, working overtime, and interpersonal relationships. 32.9% of the teachers exercise regularly. Their exercise behaviors are influenced by factors such as gender, age, marital status, and years of service. 2.The levels of fatigue as demonstrated by teachers differ as their exercise habits differ. Those who exercise regularly or more frequently are significantly less fatigue than those who exercise less or do not work out at all. (p<.05) 3.The cardiopulmonary fitness of the teachers of non-fatigue group is significantly better than those of the fatigue group. (p<.05) 4.The cardiopulmonary fitness of the teachers with different exercise behaviors are significantly different. The cardiopulmonary fitness of those who exercise more frequently is better than those who exercise less. (p<.05) 5.The level of fatigue is negatively correlated to exercise behaviors and cardiopulmonary fitness (p<.01) whereas exercise behavior is positively correlated to cardiopulmonary fitness (p<.01). Conclusion: The elementary school teachers who exercise regularly and those with higher exercise behavior are less prone to fatigue and are therefore cardiopulmonarily fit. The level of fatigue is directly related to exercise behavior and cardiopulmonary fitness. Jin-Lung Fang 方進隆 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW
