Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 美術學系在職進修碩士班 === 97 === Abstract I'm interested in studying and creating works of art about the geese, because I grew up in an environment surrounded by fowls since childhood. I have been inspired and appreciated the monogamous relationship between a goose and her lifelong partner, the gander. Once they plan to start a family, both of them share the responsibilities of preparing the nest, raising and nurturing their offspring until they're mature enough to leave the nest. Although Professor Chen-Yu Chan once stated, "To paint birds in a floral scene, it is the most difficult task to paint the birds than the flowers ". However, I still chose the 'Geese' as my subject of study because they intrigued, motivated and challenged me to do my best. This book is divided into six chapters: The first chapter, Preface, it introduces my motive; the method; the direction; and the range of the study. The second chapter, The Study of the Geese in their Ecosystem, which uses observations, live drawings, and aspects of variant professions to understand the geese and their ecosystem. The third chapter, The History of the Geese Paintings, is to learn and to absorb the affirmative techniques used by previous painters. It promotes the understanding of the artistic conception as the reference of the artistic creation. The fourth chapter, Finding the Ways to Express the Style of a Painter, it could be done by research and discussions with other professionals. The fifth chapter, The Formation of and Individual's Concept and Realization, it is achieved by producing ten pieces of works of art to demonstrate it. The final chapter, Summary, it concludes all the studies of the geese, ecosystem through the art formation. With utmost sincerity, let me share with all art-loving friends the colours and fragrance from the garden of the soul.
