This research is primarily based on Taiwan’s textbooks and partly based on Hong Kong and Mainland China’s textbooks. After exploring documents and comparing and analyzing the textbook contents, the concrete suggestions for Chinese classical poetry textbooks of junior high school are summed up and the conclusions of this study are mentioned below: 1.Taiwan’s classical Chinese poetry textbooks provide a more in-depth analysis of texts and a balanced choice of different types of text. 2.Hong Kong’s classical Chinese poetry textbooks are written in an interesting way and emphasize reading strategies. 3.Mainland China’s classical Chinese poetry textbooks have a larger text collection than that of Taiwan or Hong Kong.
