It gives people not only consolation from anxiety and frustration in their daily life but also a medium for uniting groups of people. In order to satisfy the needs for living, south Paiwan Tribe living in the forest and wrestling with the nature often suffer unexpected disasters. Therefore, religion has assumed significant roles inaboriginal society. Since the Christianity merged with Sai-Jia village in 1953, people there have believed in the principles of Christianity. Besides believing in the Nature and church, Sai-Jia village has Bei-Nan socery, Wang-ye. In this paper i wish to investigate the whole relation between religion and social change according to village ritual activities, village meetings, individual rituals and marriage customs to illuminate the cultural phenomenon.
