Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系課程與教學碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between early childhood education and the educational choice of parents, and discovered how the content of education offered by kindergarten affects parents in Tainan in their educational choice. At last of the research, we hope to have a conclusion to provide suggestions for educators, children’s parents and institution managers.
According to the goal of this investigation, literature discussion and questionnaire survey were employed in this research. Based on the administrative difference and preschools'' establishment nature, the investigator randomly surveyed 506 parents from different kindergartens by “The Questionnaire of Kindergarten Educational Choice of Parents in Tainan.” The data including 440 valid subjects was statistically analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe'' method.
The major findings were as followings:
1. Most of the parents choose private school for their children..
2. Parents are most regard for the followings. On the level of institution factor is the kindergarten must be legal. On the level of Curriculum and education factor, what talent skills are provided. On the level of teachers’ qualification factor, does the teachers have enthusiasm and love children. On the level of environment and facilities factor, the kindergarten’s safety and whether the kindergarten disinfect regularly are important.. On the level of interaction factor is did the teacher always contact with the parents. On the level of price and benefits factor is did the school provide the students longer staying time.
3. Parents are most regarded for the environment and facility factor and interaction factor.
4. On price and benefits factor, parents in different ages have very different choices.
5. On curriculum and education factor and price and benefits factor, parents with different educational backgrounds have very different choices.
6. On price and benefits factor, parents with different occupations have very different choices.
7. On six levels of factors level, parents with different status and family status are not significant.
8. On institution factor, Curriculum and education factor, teacher’s qualification factor, environment and facilities factor, price and benefits factor, parents with different income all reach significant level.
Based on these results mentioned above, these researches provide suggestions for parents, kindergartens’ staff, educational supervisors and also for the further research to be used.
