碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 幼兒教育學系教學碩士班 === 97 === A case study method is adopted in this research. The case studied in this research is a teacher Trainee by the Wu Mei-Yun Children Music Teaching Institute who is currently a contract teacher in a kindergarten. In this research, the teacher’s music teaching model, teaching content, and teaching practice-related issues are explored. Based on the pilot study and results of literature review, vectors like the type of children music teaching model, the content of the teaching model and teaching practice-related issues are established and research tools like the “Record of Children Music Teaching Observation for Contract Teachers” and the “Record of Interviews with Contract Teachers Regarding Children Music Teaching” are compiled. The research adopts both qualitative and quantitative methods that prioritize observation assisted with interviews. Information on the teaching site and documents are collected for subsequent analysis and descriptive discussions. Based on the results and findings, conclusions are compiled as follows:
I. The music teaching models applied by the contract teacher include imitation and practice, teaching and acceptance, direct teaching, participation and experience, multi-sensational participation, behavioral assistance and scenarios, covering “affection,” “behavior,” and “cognition,” the three elements in music teaching.
II. Generally speaking, the contract teacher prioritizes the teaching model that emphasizes imitation and practice in music teaching. The behavior-assisted and scenario models are rarely used. Because the contract teacher is good at applying techniques to integrate different teaching models, there is no definite distinction among different types of teaching models applied in her teaching.
III. Content of the music teaching model used by the contract teacher includes the teaching concept, teaching objective, teaching content, teaching method, teaching pattern, and teaching assessment. Most of the curricular framework and teaching practice can reflect the belief and content of the teaching system at the Wu Mei-Yun Children Music Teaching Institute.
IV. There are three music-teaching-practice-related issues, namely the teaching status, the learning feedback from the children and the teaching scenario resources. In terms of the teaching status, the teacher basically follows the framework and materials provided in the Wu Mei-Yun Children Music Teaching Institute with combination of her own teaching ideas. The performance teaching is the focus of the whole teaching activity and the interaction between the teacher and the students is the dynamic and pleasant. Performance and sound sensitivity are the two teaching items that take up more time. In terms of the learning feedback from the children, emotions and attitude of the children change with time and activities of different natures. However, during the learning process, most of the children are focused and calm. They respond the most enthusiastically to music games, novel and interesting materials, lines creation, music aerobics with dancing movements, and music teaching where they get to play an instrument. In the teaching scenario resources, the kindergarten provided abundant resources and well utilized resources offered by parents. However, they are unable to decorate the classroom to reflect the teaching progress and the topic. As a whole, the contract teacher handles issues related to the teaching practice effectively. Her professional knowledge and skills and performance are recognized.
Finally, based on the research findings and results, the researcher gives contract teachers in kindergartens, kindergarten managers, related education institutions and future researchers humble suggestions for their reference.
