The energy consumption of artificial light takes about 30~40% of total energy consumption of a building. The use of suitable structure of sunlight guiding can save 25~50% energy consumption of the artificial light. The inorganic-organic material combines the positive property of inorganic (weatherability) and organic (flexibility), and with high transmittance at visible region is suitable for fabricating optical element with microstructure. In this study, the microstructure on master mold is machined first and transferred to PDMS, followed by imprint on inorganic-organic material. Finally, the sunlight guide of inorganic-organic material is produced and assembled to window modules of buildings for guiding sunlight from outdoor to light up indoor.
