How to improve the development process, the manufacturing techniques, and the product quality would be essential issues. To meet the maximum quality with accepted cost, some optimization methods can be used to help practitioners find the solution. This study aims to get Optimum Factor Levels with minimal trial-and-errors so as to provide a better process design for industry.
In the study, LED (Light Emitting Diode) product was selected as the topic. We focus on the ITO Electron-beam Evaporator manufacturing process and use Cause-and-effect Diagram to extract the key-factors that dominate the result. Then, Taguchi’s parameter design method is applied to optimize the manufacturing process. Finally, we evaluate and prove the optimum factor levels by confirmation experiments. Implementation results demonstrate a satisfactory result.
