Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育學系 === 97 === Abstract This study was to explore the relationship between elementary school administrative decision and the school effectiveness. The samples of this study were educational staff members from elementary schools in changhua county. The questionnaire entitled “ Administrative Decisions of Elementary School Staffs and School Effectiveness ” was the tool of research. Adopting the stratified percentage sampling, totaling 678 teachers from 59 schools, and collected 534 effective samples as 78.8% effective rate from 568 responses. The response data was analyzed by arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffé method, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation through SPSS computer software. The research then concludes as follows: 1. Elementary school administrative decision may vary according to different administrative items in changhua county. Teachers may be more aware of elementary school administrative decision on aspects of management and teaching, but relevantly lower on making policy. Generally speaking, the ‘medium to higher’ level is defined by teachers for elementary school administrative decision. 2. Teachers of different genders, ages, school tasks, education backgrounds, and years of service may conduct significant differences on elementary school administrative decision in changhua county. Usually, female teachers over 51 year-old who undertake both teaching roles and epartment director, have got master or doctor degree, and with over 26-years of teaching experience may define the higher elementary school administrative decision. 3. Teachers from schools of different sizes and regions may conduct significant differences on elementary school administrative decision in changhua county. For example, teachers from schools with less than 6 classes or schools in rural areas may define higher levels on elementary school administrative decision. 4. Teachers define school effectiveness as the ‘medium to higher’ level, among ‘teacher specialty’ is concluded magnificently positive while ‘environmental equipment’ is conducted as in need of further enhancement in changhua county. 5. Teachers of different genders, ages, undertakings, and service years may conduct significant differences on school effectiveness in changhua county. Male over 51 years old who serves both teachers and department director, and have over 26-year teaching experience may sense higher school effectiveness. 6. Teachers from schools of different sizes, and regions may conduct significant differences on school effectiveness in changhua county. For example, teachers from schools with less than 6 classes or schools in rural areas may define higher levels for the effectiveness. 7. Elementary school administrative decision performs significantly relevant to school effectiveness in changhua county. Based on the conclusions, the study would like to provide suggestions for further references of education administrative entities, elementary schools, and relevant researchers.
