Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 98 === Artistic creation is just like a mirror. It can reflect a creator’s life experience and emotions in an artist’s heart. This study is to discuss that people are gradually losing their concerns about the people and things in their hometown because the society changes so fast. And I hope to arouse people’s feelings for their hometown and make people put emphasis on culture protection. The purpose of this study is to let an artist create his works with special feelings and memories through the observation on his personal life experience and plants in his hometown. I use the materials, such as ink and water color, to create the works about my image of hometown. Not only do I express the feelings about my hometown and the cherishing of the memory, but I also seek for self characteristics and affections in my heart through creation. I want to cultivate my soul, which has been addicted to modern currents, and retrieve the way to live with nature. In theory, I probe into the importance of portrait and description and the spirit of unity between the thing and I with the theory of Chinese painting “portray the spirit by the shape.” By artistic creation, a creator can shift his emotion to his works and reorganize the related painting styles to think about the development direction of the painter. By literature and creation practice methodology, a painter can develop his creation ideas and use material and skills to experiment and innovate. He can also carry out the theory into actual creation. The creation intermediary materials I use are mainly by traditional brushes, ink, rubber color, and India paper in addition to the traditional ink and wash painting techniques I used to learn, like washing, spray, rubbing, ink flowing and so on. Finally, I analyze and explain the eleven works of my creation. I also describe my creation viewpoints and forms. In conclusion, I show the precious experience I get in theory and artistic creation, and examine my creation direction with my own thoughts. I look forward to any possibility of creation development in the future and I will try to break the tradition and innovate constantly.
