| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 97 === There are recordings that Han people’s activities in Jang- Hua country Bei-Tou Bau area (now Taichung country Chau-Tuen town). In the history of Bei-Tou Bau area in the periods of Qianlong dynasties was the society of reclamation. During the Taokuang, the society was going to be in study, and became the genty society. Therefore, Taokuang 27 years(1847 AD) , in the situation of opening up wasteland and economic stability , the Bei-Tou Bau area premier Wen Wei Juang , employee Ji Chuen hung and scholar Jung Ying Hung , extended from Bei-Tou Yi Hsueh (free private schools) till Teng-Ying shuyuan (academy) based on increasing in the opportunities of scholars to go to school . They established Wenchang ancestral hall as another school on Bei-Tou Street according to five thousands eight hundred dollars which were attributed by people in neighborhood. The Teng-Ying Shuyuan recruited grown-up students to learn how to read and write the articles as well as poetry.
The study through the comparing with the funds utilization and the organization manage of Shuyuans during Ching Dynasty, gets two points: (1) The first point was the funds of building the Teng-Ying shuyuan were from a rental of farmland instead of four shihtzues’s contrubution. Beacasue shuyuan was in the situation of revenues steady and stable management by directorate, which never caused transport business difficulty with to interrupt short. Because of above reason, Teng-Ying shuyuan cultivated 24 Jurens and Scholars for Bei-Tou-Bau area that was the center of sinology in Bei-Tou Bau area. (2) The second point was directorate’s membership of Teng-Ying shuyuan, which was the local officials , whose organizer and managers were the posterity of those Shihtzues and donators which was composed of “the Wenchang Ancestral Hall follower” by the election. Because just the trustee originated simplification that avoided the external disturbance factor, it was also principal factor that resulted in the Teng-Ying shuyuan to be unremitting during Ching Dynasty.
In the period of "Japanese occupation", Teng-Ying Shuyuan was to lead to function of the God of literature temple by social conditions of turnaround. After World War II , Because it was listed as the cultural property, which also to be the public goods, and provided the follower to be engaged in the religious rites. Nowadays, it is the biggest characteristic that be Local art and traditional extension.
