This study conducts a questionnaire survey with an independently formulated “Questionnaire for Survey on Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after-school exercise participating motivation and social support” as tool, targeting the school students at one class each in grades 5 and 6 of the 21 elementary schools in Taoyuan selected through stratified random sampling. The questionnaire survey saw a valid return rate of 87.58%, that is, 1058 returns of valid questionnaire out of 1208 questionnaires dispatched. Next, the data collected were subjected to statistic analyses such as Descriptive Statistics, t-Test, One Way ANOVA, Post Hoc Test with Scheffe’s Method, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Analysis. The findings in this study lead to the following conclusions through inductive reasoning: 1. Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after school exercise participating motivation falls at Above-average level. 2. In terms of any of the variables such as “Grade, Gender, if played on school sport team or not, if having joined a sport club or a school zone” Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after school exercise participating motivation demonstrates a significant difference respectively. 3. The social support for Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after school exercise falls at Average level. 4. In terms of any of the variables such as “Grade, Gender, if played on school sport team or not, if having joined a sport club, scale of the school, and school zone” the social support for Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after school exercise demonstrates a significant difference respectively. 5. A positive correlation between Taoyuan County elementary school students’ after school exercise motivation and the social support is evidenced through the analyses.
