However, the effects of isokinetic concentric and eccentric training on muscle strength and neuromuscular activation when contracting at different angular velocities were not clear. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of eccentric and concentric isokinetic training exercise with one angular velocity on eccentric and concentric quadriceps muscle strength and neuromuscular activation at different angular velocity. Sixteen female college students were randomly divided into isokinetic concentric or eccentric training groups, and received a training program for six weeks in a total of 18 training sessions. Maximum voluntary isometric contraction and isokinetic concentric and eccentric contraction strength were measured before and after the training programs. The results revealed that isokinetic training on muscle strength at different angular velocity was significantly improved, especially on eccentric training. However, neither training programs significantly changed on the neuromuscular activation data after muscle strengthening. It was concluded that eccentric contraction training can be an effective means of strengthening. Chi-Huang Huang 黃啟煌 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 77 zh-TW |
