Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 聽語障礙科學研究所 === 97 === ABSTRACT The aims of this study were to explore the relationship between acceptable noise level (ANL) and satisfaction of hearing aid, to investigate the predictability of ANL towards the usage pattern of Chinese hearing aid user, as well as to explore the relationship of purchase intent towards ANL and satisfaction of hearing aid. Thirty three Chinese hearing aid users fitted in last five years were tested with English acceptable noise level distributed by Cosmos Company. They were requested to fill out the Hearing Aid Satisfaction Questionnaire and their hearing thresholds of both ears were also collected. Results demonstrated that the ANL may not be correlated to age, gender, degree of hearing loss as well as self-perceived hearing handicap level. ANL is related to the satisfaction of hearing aid, the smaller the unaided ANL, the higher the self-assessed hearing aid satisfaction scores. ANLs were significantly different among the regular users, part-time users and non-users of hearing aids. English ANL can predict the different usage pattern of Chinese hearing aid user, its accuracy of prediction was 73%. Repurchase intent of hearing aid brand was affected by hearing aid satisfaction, but not the ANL. Key Words: most comfortable level (MCL), background noise level (BNL), acceptable noise level (ANL), hearing aid satisfaction, purchase intent
