We applied a prospectively design method using self-administered, structured questionnaires for data collection and Ryodoraku instrument for evaluation. Instruments included meridian and SF-36. The main findings were: (1) an intragroup difference of liver and triple burner meridian energy level in NG; (2) In terms of intergroup comparisons, the mean levels of Ryodoraku study in EG shows higher almost throughout our study, indicating a hyperactivity of organ functions. (3) In life quality questionnaires, nurses are found to have their lowest scores in vitality, followed by general health and mental health. It is demonstrated that the greater the vitality, the better the feeling of one’s health and vice versa. Also caused by a vitality drop are low morale, impaired professional images and low-quality services. Finally, our study results shall serve as a reminder to nurses to take preventive measures in protection of their health and a database of shift work nurses’ meridian-organ physiologies for future researches.
