The batteries which used in the experiments are bought from the commercial market. The LifePO4 battery has the advantages of safety and high energy density, which makes it very suitable to be used in electrical vehicles. The purpose of this study is to increase its applicability in electrical vehicles by developing a fast charging method for these batteries. The research develops a negative-feedback controlled battery charger used in the experiments to study three different kinds of charging methods: constant-current method, pulsed-current method and sinusoidal-current method. These three charging methods are tested and a best way which has the best charging efficiency to fast- charge the LifePO4 battery is found.
